The online course on Propane Handling and Exchange aims to equip you with essential knowledge about the risks associated with propane, methods to control these hazards, as well as the procedures for transporting, handling, exchanging, and storing propane cylinders.
Propane, utilized for residential, commercial, industrial, and construction purposes, necessitates certain safety measures. The Propane Handling & Exchange Certification course imparts essential knowledge about handling both liquid and vapour withdrawal cylinders safely, using, storing, and exchanging cylinders securely, as well as inspecting cylinders properly and managing emergency scenarios. Furthermore, the Propane Handling and Exchange course elucidates the components of cylinders and the science of propane, thereby ensuring an in-depth understanding of this chemical's properties and the safety measures required when handling it. In addition, the course covers legal competency requirements, emergency response, and first aid. A completion certificate, in line with the CSA (Canadian Standards Authority) Regulation B149.2-10 Propane Storage and Handling Code in Canada and OSHA 1910.110 Storage and Handling of Liquified Petroleum Gases Code in the United States, will be issued upon successful completion.

Knowledge assessments are conducted throughout the course, with test questions designed to reinforce the information presented. Each participant is required to complete them. A score of 80% is required to obtain a certificate of completion. Participants are given TWO opportunities to retake the course if they do not achieve the course pass mark on their first attempt.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to download a certificate of completion via the learning management system.
The certificate stays valid for 3 years from the date of course completion.
