The online course Leadership for Safety: An Approach to Safety Leadership serves as an essential foundation to understand the modern leadership principles that are necessary to embark on the path of becoming a remarkable Safety Leader in the professional environment.

The digital course Leadership for Safety aims to provide an initial understanding of the contemporary leadership principles that are essential to begin the path towards becoming an outstanding Safety Leader in the professional environment.

This course is tailored for personnel who already possess a basic understanding of accepted safety practices and principles within the workplace (e.g., Identifying and assessing hazards related to their duties, understanding the personal protective equipment they should wear, etc.) and are intending to have a more profound impact in their workplace through safety leadership.

The Leadership for Safety program is not restricted to those employees currently serving in the safety departments or for employees holding leadership roles in their organizations. All employees with a basic, entry-level knowledge of workplace safety can utilize this program to enhance their own safety and positively impact the overall safety culture in their workspace.

Important Note! The Leadership for Safety course is distinct from other safety leadership courses as it emphasizes on how practical, contemporary leadership principles can be implemented in workplace safety; as opposed to the conventional safety leadership courses which merely cover basic safety principles with the term ‘leadership’ arbitrarily appended to the course title.

Upon completion of this Leadership for Safety course, learners will be capable of:

Testing conducted in this online Leadership for Safety course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available to download and print.
